For eight years, Scott was a Group Leader with Creative Alternatives of New York, (CANY) leading therapeutic drama groups for emotionally disabled youth, at alternative and charter schools, group homes, hospitals and shelters. In addition, he has worked with students with emotional disabilities, as well as exceptional students, in programs and schools including: Johns Hopkins Young Scholars; Harlem Educational Fund (HEAF); Counseling in Schools (CIS); Sylvan Educational Centers; City Lights Youth Theater; Art Is; Murray Bergtraum School; Automotive High School; Duke Ellington School; Mt. Sinai Hospital; Bronx V.A. Hospital; Hawthorne-Cedar Knolls Special School District; Wildcat Academy.
Currently, Scott is the Drama Teacher for Seniors at the 92nd St. Y; JCC; several locations of JASA,- Jewish Association of Services for the Aged; Project Open; and is in his tenth year as the Drama Teacher for gifted teens at The Teak Fellowship.
For twenty years, Scott was Script and Book Analyst for the legendary actors Paul Newman & Joanne Woodward and also worked in this capacity- critiquing and choosing film and theater material for development and production - for companies including HBO; Viacom; CAA- Los Angeles; Warner Bros.; Universal Pictures; Scott Rudin Productions; Jersey Films; The Actors Studio. For ten years, he was the Dramaturge for Theater By The Blind, (now Theater Breaking Through Barriers), leading writing workshops for visually impaired writers.
